Getting Our Pleasure On with Blyssful Alchemy

Cannabis and Sex are a match made in heaven, so what better way to bring the two together than in an exquisite infused pleasure oil. And because no one knows cannabis infusions like Siobhan from Blyssful Alchemy, we caught up with her at her Vancouver studio to learn all about infusions and how to make our own pleasure oil!

The ingredients
Choosing high-quality, body-safe ingredients is the most important part of any topical- infused or not. The last thing we need interrupting our fun time is an itchy rash or any other type of undesirable reaction. The oil we made only has four ingredients; 1000ml of jojoba oil, 8 grams of CO2 cannabis extract and a few drops each of frankincense and myrrh essential oils.

Jojoba oil
Jojoba oil a great, versatile oil that can be purchased from most online and in-store retailers. The oil is edible and can be used internally and externally, which makes it a great base for a natural lubricant such as this one. Olive oil can also be used instead of jojoba oil. Good to know fact-oil based lubes and latex condoms DON’T MIX, so prepare accordingly. Safe sex is always the #1 priority!

CO2 cannabis extract
Lucky for us, we got to use premium CO2 cannabis extract for our infused pleasure oil but you could alternatively use regular flower or shake; just make sure to decarb first before infusing and strain the plant matter at the end.

Frankincense and Myrrh essential oils
Did you ever wonder why the Wise Men brought Mary, frankincense and myrrh? They were looking out for her hoo-ha, obviously! Frankincense and myrrh are both anti-inflammatories and known PH balancers, plus myrrh also has antibacterial qualities. These properties plus their lovely scents make these essential oils a great addition to our infused pleasure oil. These essential oils can be omitted completely  or you can add different oils to suit your personal tastes, however if you do choose different ones make sure they’re safe to use down below. If you want a little tingle or heat try peppermint or cinnamon. Finally, using a high-quality essential oil is key- Siobhan recommends DoTERRA.
